1. Provider and scope
The provider and contracting party is Pierre Lücken, c/o Impressumservice Dein-Impressum, Stettiner Straße 41, 35410 Hungen, Germany, email: [email protected].
These terms apply to the Byterider Discord bot, web dashboard and directly associated public services. Different terms apply only where expressly agreed.
2. Eligibility and start of use
Users must meet the minimum age required by Discord and the laws of their country. Anyone inviting or configuring Byterider for a server must be authorized to do so and hold the required Discord permissions.
Use starts when the bot is installed, a user signs in to the dashboard through Discord or a Byterider function is used. There is no entitlement to activation of a particular server or feature.
3. Service scope
Byterider provides modular server management, moderation, security, support, community, automation, voice, gaming and statistics functions. The currently released features and documentation define the available scope.
Server administrators decide which modules to enable. Some features require additional Discord permissions, suitable role ordering or external credentials.
4. Free use
Byterider is provided free of charge and is intended to remain free in the long term. No paid or feature-restricted premium version is currently planned. No payment information is collected.
Public beta describes product maturity and is not a trial that automatically expires. If this fundamental model ever had to change, it would never create an automatic paid agreement.
5. Public beta, availability and changes
Byterider is in public beta. Features may contain errors, be temporarily restricted or change in a backwards-compatible manner. No particular uptime or uninterrupted availability is promised.
Planned maintenance, incidents and material product changes are communicated through the status page and changelog where possible. Statutory rights remain unaffected.
6. Acceptable use
Byterider may only be used lawfully and in accordance with Discord's rules. Prohibited uses include spam, phishing, malware, harassment, unlawful surveillance, infringement of third-party rights, bypassing Discord safeguards or rate limits, and attempts to access, test, disrupt or compromise the bot, dashboard or infrastructure without authorization.
Credentials, webhook secrets and other confidential values must be protected. Security issues should be reported privately to [email protected] and must not be exploited to harm others.
7. Content and server responsibility
Server administrators remain responsible for server rules, enabled modules, roles, permissions, moderation decisions and the lawfulness of content processed through Byterider. Byterider does not replace human review of sensitive decisions.
Anyone processing content, templates or files through Byterider must hold the necessary rights. Byterider does not acquire ownership of user content and processes it only as required for the selected function.
8. Discord and external services
Discord is an independent third-party provider. Discord accounts, servers, API availability and Discord decisions are governed by Discord's own terms and policies. Byterider cannot provide a feature when Discord does not provide the required data, intents, permissions or interfaces.
Optional external integrations are used only after configuration. Their own providers' terms also apply to availability and content.
9. Protective measures and access restrictions
Access for an account or server may be proportionately restricted or terminated where there are concrete indications of abuse, security risks, legal violations, breaches of these terms or requirements from Discord or public authorities.
Unless an urgent security or legal reason prevents it, a reasonable opportunity to clarify the matter will be provided before a permanent restriction.
10. Privacy and deletion
The privacy notice explains which data is processed, why it is processed, applicable retention periods and how access, export, correction or deletion can be requested.
Server administrators must inform members about their specific configuration when they use features such as tickets, forms, moderation records or public leaderboards.
11. Intellectual property
The Byterider brand, logo, design, documentation and software remain protected under applicable law. Use of the service grants only a limited, non-transferable right to use Byterider for its intended purpose.
Rights in user content remain with their respective owners. Necessary technical copies and transfers may be made only as required to provide the selected function.
12. Ending use
Users may delete their dashboard connection and remove the bot from a server at any time. Server administrators may disable modules and delete stored configuration where the product provides that option.
Operation of Byterider may be discontinued for an important technical, legal or economic reason. This will be announced in advance where possible. Documented deletion and retention periods continue to apply to remaining data.
13. Liability
Liability is unlimited for intent, gross negligence, harm to life, body or health and where mandatory statutory provisions require it.
For a slightly negligent breach of an essential obligation, liability is limited, where legally permissible, to foreseeable and typical damage. Otherwise statutory liability and warranty rules apply; these terms do not restrict mandatory consumer rights.
14. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated when laws, Discord requirements, security needs or the actual feature scope change. Material changes will be published in understandable language with reasonable notice.
Where consent is legally required, it will be requested separately. Otherwise users may stop using the service before the change takes effect.
15. Governing law and contact
German law applies. Consumers retain mandatory protections under the law of their country of habitual residence. Statutory places of jurisdiction remain unaffected.
Questions about these terms may be sent to [email protected]. The German version is authoritative; this English version is provided for accessible information.
