Getting started

Invite the bot, place its role, open the dashboard and test the first module.

1. Invite Byterider

Use the invite button on this website. Review the requested permissions and select a server you manage. Byterider never asks for Administrator.

  1. Select a server you are allowed to manage.
  2. Review and approve the displayed permissions.
  3. Verify that Byterider appears in the member list.
  4. Open the dashboard and select the server.

2. Place the bot role

Discord only allows a bot to manage roles below its highest role. Move the Byterider role above auto roles, level roles and ticket team roles.

3. Run guided setup

  1. Choose Community, Support, Creator, Gaming or Security as a starting point.
  2. Select the goals you need, a primary channel and a private log channel.
  3. Apply safe defaults; Automod and security protections start without automatic punishment.
  4. Follow the personal checklist and resolve only missing configuration or permissions.
